I guess most of you would have heard about Navadurga’s i.e. nine hills forts which are within 100 km from Bangalore. Today we are going to see one such hill fort called “Hutridurga” which is nestled between bunches of villages in Kunigal taluk of Tumkur District.

Hurtidurga was built by Kempegowda and dates back to the 16th century. The ruins of the fort can still be perceived through the two hills surrounding the village. Shankareshwara temple situated on top of the hill is one of the highlights of this trek. You can experience village life, spot lush greenery all around the hill and witness ruins of the old fort.

This makes way for the perfect offbeat weekend getaway from Bangalore. So, what are you waiting for, tighten your shoe laces and hop in.

Trip Itinerary

Board the bus, and leave from Bangalore at 10:00 PM
Small ice breaker session to get to know fellow travelers
Stop on the way for piping hot cup of Chai at around 1am
Group games and activities before we start the trek.
Reach Hutridurga hill base.
Start hiking Hutridurga at 4:00 Am.
Reach the peak where you find the Shankareshwara temple.
Get the glimpses of reddish orange glow as the Sun starts rising above the horizon.
Spend some quality time exploring the surroundings with beautiful views.
Click countless pics and selfies.
Start decending down to the base of Hutridurga hill at 7:00 Am
Have breakfaston the way to Bangalore. Freshenup can be done at the restaurant.
Reach Bangalore around 12:00 PM.

Water Bottle – a life Savior(1/2 liters)
Lunch box and spoon to carry packed lunch ( mandatory)
Trekking shoes or hiking boots(helps you walk on different terrain with much ease)
Backpack to carry all the items you need

Trekking pants or trousers(make sure you take comfortable ones)
Cap or a hat (to look like cool dudes )

12 to 20 members per trip
we would maintain equal male to female ratio for most of our trips
At least 8 members are required to confirm the trip
In case if we fail to get the minimum required numbers, a full amount refund or option to transfer them to any other future trip will be provided

In case if you cancel trip 7 or more days prior to the actual Trip date without taking back the refund then you can join us on our future trip within 3 months
if cancellations are made 7 days before the actual trip date and if you want refund then 10 % of the amount paid would be charged as a cancellation fee.
if cancellations are made 3 to 6 days before the actual trip date, 25 % of the amount paid would be charged as a cancellation fee.
if cancellations are made 2 days before the actual trip date, 50 % of the amount paid would be charged as a cancellation fee.
if cancellations are made 0 to 1 day before the actual trip date, 100 % of the amount paid would be charged as a cancellation fee.
In case of any unforeseen situations like bad weather conditions, a political issue or government restrictions complete activity will be canceled and you will receive a full refund.

No alcohol & smoking during Treks & adventure activities.
No Luxury. We assure awesome memories every trip, but not awesome facilities! We provide basic facilities in terms of food, travel & accommodation.
The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule are permitted
Absolutely No littering during our travels. We swear to protect our environment.
Co-operate with the organizer(s) in following the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This will ensure travelers won’t miss out on the real fun part – that is traveling.
Every traveler is responsible for his/her for your own safety while traveling with Adventure Buddha. Don’t indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to you or fellow travelers.
Unexpected situations: It may happen we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delay in travel because of an issue with our group itself, traffic conditions, etc. In most cases, if the time permits, the organizer(s) will take travelers to an alternative place. But in some cases, we may have to skip a place altogether.
Travelers are expected to respect each other and help each other. Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics, and religion/caste/race.
Travellers / Trippers can pay 30 % of actual trip fee in Advance to confirm tickets (Which is Non Refundable)
Using foul or abusive language, eve-teasing, arguing with fellow travelers/organizer(s), and/or involving in the physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by Adventure Buddha team.
