Uttari Betta Trek experience with Adventure Buddha Isn’t it a wonderful feeling when you try doing something different for the first time? So was my feeling when I went on a trek to Hutridurga. My friends and I decided to put our weekend to full use, so we planned to go on a trip that was unusual, challenging, exciting, and not monotonous. One of my friends came up with an idea and suggested that we could go on a trek near Bangalore. We all started searching the Internet for a good travel and tours website. But then my friend thought that it would be great if we could go on a trip that is organized by Suraj from Adventure Buddha, his friend whom he had met when he had been on his previous trip. As per my friend’s suggestion, we met Suraj the next day and he gave us a suggestion of going on a trek to Hutridurga. We confirmed the location or destination to Suraj and he assured us that he would organize the trip for our small group of 12 to 20 members making sure that personalized care is given to every individual. This was important as all of us were new to trekking. I was very curious to know what this place called Hutridurga was all about and what is the distance of this place from Bangalore? After a little reading, I learned that this place with historical importance is also known as Uttari Betta and is one of the best one-day trekking destinations near Bangalore. This unexplored place is one of the ‘Navadurgas’, the nine hill forts around Bangalore, and is nestled between bunches of villages in Kunigal taluk of Tumkur District
